Star Trails and Moonrise
Moonrise over Lake Windamere
@Mudge NSW Australia
SINGLE Shot
Rolleiflex 2.8C, Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm
Fujichorome Provia ISO100 Slide 120mm Format
taken @f2.8, about 4 hours
Developed at local LAB
Scanned with Epson V800 & Postprocessed in PS
I visited this place last December to take film astrophotography. This image is taken with Rolleiflex 2.8C. Another one is taken with Zeiss Ikon Nettar 518/2 (6x9 format) which has not been developed yet. I went this place for the first time and had a couple hours to scout around before sunset. I am pretty sure I could find better spot if I visit the place again. I found potential for some more interesting compositions. By the end of 4 hours exposure moon is rising from the east. I sort of anticipated moon would rise in between two trees, however my calculation was a few degrees off which I don't mind.
There were group of thick and dark clouds passing over dead trees early evening more than an hour so I thought that would ruin the picture. Somehow the sky was very clear for the rest of two hours until moon rises which saved this image.
