Lighthouse by the Milkyway
Tacking Point Lighthouse
@Port Macquarie, New South Wales
Stacking is one of popular ways to reduce noise nowadays. I sometimes do make panoramas in order to reduce noise as well as making file size bigger for bigger prints. Even if you can take the image with ultra wide angle lens, which I don't have, you can take a several shots with reasonably wide angle or standard lens. You then stitch them as panorama. This image taken from Tacking Point Lighthouse is an example. I don't like too much distorted subject on the side of frame when you use ultra wide angle lens. You can eliminate this issue when you make panorama with several shots instead of one single shot.
